Did Nero Commit Suicide?

         Nero was a powerful man ruling a massive empire but the story of his death is doubtful. He was a selfish man who saw himself as a talented actor (Champlin 99). He could have very well committed suicide to escape the punishment he faced from the senate. However, it is also possible that a political opponent eliminated him. He made many outrageous actions and caused the death of many people including his brother (Champlin 103). Whatever the case may have been, it is impossible to now know so all we have left is speculation.
